The train was rattling like crazy. There were times when the compartment doors would slide open slightly due to the jolt. The chandelier up above chinked together and the luggage bumped and made loud banging noises.
However, the young woman still sat in her tiny, private compartment, sewing a delicate golden flower design on an even more delicate piece of white silk.
The start of her wedding dress.
The girl's name is Ai, many people called her Ai-chan, but those she loved called her storm. The reasoning because she was as unpredictable and wild as a new-coming storm.
Ai was testing her seamstress abilities on the bumpy ride. Her graceful steady hands defying the tremors. If she was able to sew this one design on the silk without mistakes, she knew she had what it takes to live out her 'true' dream.
She looked up from her work every now and then to see the blurry landscape flying by her window. She thought of how beautiful it was...well, wasn't every new land beautiful? She had felt the same way when she first leaft Ireland to live in Japan.
In Japan, she was an actress/model. Ai never really intended on becoming one, it just sort of happened. Like the big bang.
She leaft though, she was sick of the media, the attention, the glamour. She just wanted to live a life in serenity and peace, and that's where she was headed.
The train came to a halt, Ai examined her stitchery, she had passed. She carefully tied off a knot and stored the fabric in her sewing box that her mother had made for her. She pulled a medium sized black suitcase with vibrant blue bird designs off from the baggage area.
"We've arrived in Raspberry Town. All those who purchased a ticket here please remove your baggage and make your way to the platform. Thank you and have a lovely stay!!!" a cheery voice boomed over the intercom.
Ai leaft her compartment and hoped onto the platform.
She admired the surrounding area and smiled, a new town, a fresh start.
"Now, where to next?" she asked herself, her slight Irish accent making the words sound slightly foreign.
Ai was itching to start the first chapter in her new story.
